Gooday All,
My understanding here (I could be wrong) is that as long as a machine
communicates using the reqired language (tcp/ip) and can be successfully be
connected to the medium in question (coax in this case) there shouldn't be
any problems.
As for file sharing there is bound to be some thing available that supports
apple share for linux or set your linux box up as a netware server and use
an apple netware client to connect.
Apart from this you have all the basics for file transfers ftp, http and
suchlike. As with yourself Brett, my Mac knowledge is pretty limited so I
can't really point you any further...
