Woohoo.. funny thing.. I just trashed my lappy harddrive,
Indy is presently trying to garner the data from it..
fingers crossed.. so here I am coming to you via knoppix CD :)

I have an IBMThinkpad T22.. From windows boot screen there are
two options.. F1 BIOS.. (don't need to go there)..
	      F12 Load alternate boot devices
Either hit F12 or wait.. as I did initially..
As my HD is out of this machine, I get a nice red screen that says
no Operating System found.. kinda comforting I guess :)

Either way you get to a screen where all other devices are options..
tab down to CD hit enter :)

Then it is pretty much plain sailing from there.. the machine boots
get to the prompt knoppix# hit enter X starts and KDE launches..

Obviously there is messing about with ifconfig to get online..
but all in all I was pretty surprised how very easy it was..

The Big K in the left hand corner is more or less like the M$
start button, you will find lots of things in there :)

The funny world thing with the cog around it.. is the browser
the screen with the fan(if that is what it is) will launch a shell

Hope this helps
Kim
