I don't think they ever planned on winning and i would be willing to bet
they are surprised it lasted as long as it did. They are probably
laughing whenever someone sends them money for a "license". Now watch
and see if the stock price goes down and all the cronies sell their
shares.It'll be over before it goes to court and all the board will be
much richer and wondering if they can do it again somewhere else. or
even worse if another smallish computer company tries something similar
now that its proven that people buy stock.

It is about money and stock prices nothing else. They were banking on
apathy. So SCO loses, the stock holders won and they weren't you or me
but people with the power to issue new shares.
