[plug] Putting knoppix in compressed form on a hard drive

One way, _reasonbly_painless_ with a broadband connection might be:

1: Flash up Knoppix, record the "dpkg --get-selections" and sources.list 
files to floppy.
2. Do a basic Debian installation to HDD.
3. Edit the hell out of the selections file, removing unneeded bits..
4. Use the selections (maybe "dpkg --set-selections < cat 
/floppy/selections" would work?!
5. Update/Upgrade...
6->27 Wait...
