[plug] distro defaults

Hey everyone,

As you might imagine I've received quite a bit of mail
as a result of the DistroDay article this month. ;)


Some of it tells conflicting stories about the default use of
prelinking and -fomit-frame-pointer in Mandrake and Debian.

Anybody have any ideas how pin this down accurately?
