[plug] PPP connections slow

Hello

For some reason my internet connection is really slow. i'm connecting
remotely using a script from University of California, and for some reason
its connection at 33.6kbps (so says pppstatus) when it should be around 50
ish. I had win on the same pc connecting at 50kbps so I know its not a
harware problem. I copied the win connect chat commands to my chat file, but
that didnt make any difference, and in the messages log it doesnt say
snything about connection speed.

can anyone help.
