[plug] KDE problem

Hi all,
I've got a couple of Redhat 9 machines running KDE desktop and have the 
following problem. If I try and fire up konqueror as su ie "kdesu 
konqueror" then it bails out complaining  that /tmp/mcop-user  is not 
owned by the user(su). If the /tmp/mcop-user  file is deleted then 
"kdesu konqeror" works as expected, however the next time the normal 
user tries to fire up konqueror it wont start because the file 
ownerships/groups for the newly written /tmp/mcop-user file are now root 
root.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?  I tried google and it sems others 
have the same experience  but I havent found any good solution.
( The KDE website is down in some protest at the moment  too)
