Is it worthwhile? Is it a good router?

Thanks for the warning. I did realise that after the first response and quickly
shut down my win98 box.  :)

I've got the server back up and running. When I set up the firewall, forgot to
include the internal lan so I could ping internally and even ping the net but
packets got rejected on the way back.  :)

I've got a business account so they assign a static IP.
