That, as far as I am concerned, is what defines an XML editor.

I'm obviously having trouble getting across my view that there's a difference 
between a text editor which will help fill in the angle brackets etc., and an 
XML editor which will take your data and edit/arrange/save it in an XML 
format.

Also, FWIW, when I was previously describing the XMLSpy GUI, I was hugely 
simplifying for the purpose of discussion. In fact it is a highly efficient 
interface usable from keyboard or rodent. Altova claim over a million users 
and I don't think they could do that if their product was cumbersome or 
difficult to use.
