For starters you should be able to boot with LinuxOLD.

Likely you have some broken links in / that point to the wrong things in
/boot

Likely you need to update those, then re-run lilo

If you cannot start linuxold, then you can start the installer as a
rescue disk, make sure you set the right root, alternatively, start the
installer, run until the formatting the disk, then choose mount, mount
all the bits, then go to another terminal [CTRL-ALT-F2] and fix the
broken links.
