[plug] Wanted: dirt cheap wireless LAN

Most pc motherboards have a irda or combination irda/usb socket on the
motherboard: I enquired once on getting the module that plugs into it
(to communicate with a laptop), but no-one I asked had seen one.  Is
that an option?  Does anyone know where to get the plug-in?
