Well to tell you all the truth, w2k (and XP) was designed for less reboots.
To change network settings and not need to reboot change the settings and
when it asks you to reboot say no. Then with an admin account goto Start ->
Settings -> Network and dialup connections, then click on the network you
changed the settings for and you should get a dialog giving you connection
information. There will be to buttons labeled Properties and Disable. By
clicking Disable and then re-enabling the connection by trying to open it
again will apply the new settings.
Just thought some one might find it use full.
