To enable debugging, add "debug" to /etc/ppp/options or the file in 
/etc/ppp/peers for your ISP if you've configued things that way. Just to 
clarify. Oh... and expect your logs to grow at a fair rate, so don't 
leave it on as standard unless you have a fast PC and a fair bit of free 
space in /var (logcheck doesn't like 20mb log files!)
