I don't know the answer, but all sorts of conversions are discussed the 
latest being LaTEX to OpenOffice.org.

Rather than google, I would post your question to users at openoffice.org. 
There are several thousand list members who are listening and will be 
either able to point you to somewhere on www.openoffice.org, or to some 
other online resource.
