That argument only really applies to servers and those of us who leave our 
desktops running 24x7 (uptime tells me mine's been running 73 days, which is 
also a convenient way of finding out when my area last had a powercut :o)).

For people who only use their desktops on occasion, or who use laptops which 
don't suspend too nicely (like mine), boot time is quite important.
