Last time I looked, Linux still didn't support the Indigo2's frame-buffer,
and perl didn't work (R4600s) or Linux itself simply didn't work (R8000s
and R10000s).

Linux's MIPS support (especially SGI machines - big-endian MIPS) still
seems to leaves a lot to be desired and with such a small calling for it I
doubt it'll get better in a hurry.

Although someone with more recent experience with wacking Linux on old
SGIs might correct me. :)
