whatever dood. I stand by it. IBM sell proprietary hardware with nasty little
hooks, and treat their customer base as captives. Surprise, surprise! Some-one
sells a nifty hack to get around the artificial restrictions, and they are doing
great business.

IBM are the original monopolists, they have a long history of bastardry, vendor
lock-in etc, and an anti-trust case, and a consent decree. This is still
reflected in their current practices. Just like microsoft.
Linux, gnu, free software, open source for me is about the freedom to control my
hardware. Something IBM, Apple, Microsoft, Sony, the RIAA, ARIA and MPAA and
others don't want me to have. Bugger em!
