Could be, especially if you could always get DNS replies, ping iiNet 
servers, etc. BTW, you could use Arpanet with an MTU that small *grin* - 
   when I had iiNet dialup (before forking out for DSL) I never had a 
problem that could be blamed on MTU settings - rather than broken iiNet 
servers.

If you have to use an MTU like that, I suggest you start finding out why 
- because it'll kill the performance of your link.
