Does anyone know the current state of 3D support for Linux as concerns the
newer ATI graphics cards? Last I looked into this, NVidia's drivers, although
being binary only, gave comparable performance to Windows, and so were the 3D
performance choice for Linux users...
Basically, if I wanted to play, say, UT2k3 under Linux, would an ATI Radeon be
a smart choice, or is NVidia still the Linux performance (and support) king?
And on a related tangent, how good is ATI 2d and feature support and
performance under Linux, compared to NVidia?
Thanks...
