Does BF1942 run with straight WINE, and not Transgaming's version?

Quake 3 beats the windoze version hands down, the frame rate is much more 
consistent, I thought we had some settings seriously wrong or something when 
we went back and played the windoze version.

UT2003 is a fairly sloppy port, but runs pretty well in comparison to the 
windoze version, hope it gets acked around a bit more though.
