[plug] mounting linux client on samba network

Dunno if this helps, but this is the line in my working fstab entry:

//{server}/{share}	/{mount point}	smbfs	username={user},password={pass},uid={uid},gid={gid}	0	2

Where:

{server} is the name of your server
{share} is the shared name
{mount point} is the location you want to mount it
{user} is the user name on the remote box
{pass} is the password for that user
{uid} is the name of the user as is appears in the local file system
{gid} is the name of the group as it appears in the local file system
