[plug] Forcing a process to dump core on crash

How can I set up an environment so that a multithreaded server program
will dump core on crashes.  Typically I run the software in a test
environment and if it crashes it does so without leaving a core file.

Is it possible to trap all signals and force the process to dump core??

I have access to the source.
