I have a friend who, I thought, relied on VMWare working with Debian
earlier in the year. Can't remember the specifics of whether there was
anything 'extra' he had to do to make it work. But he was using VMWare
with RedHat last year, so I don't think he'd have made the transition to
Debian if VMWare really didn't work at that stage.
