Hi Steve,
It sounds like your domain name servers aren't set up correctly. Try
connecting to http://216.239.53.99/ instead of http://www.google.com.au/
If this works it confirms it.
I've never used pppconfig before, so I'm just looking at it now. Did you
choose Dynamic or Static DNS in the 'Configure Nameservers (DNS)' page?
I think TPG tell you to choose Dynamic DNS, but if it's not working try
the static DNS settings as follows:
Primary DNS number 203.12.160.35
Secondary DNS number 203.12.160.36
If that doesn't work, I've sometimes had problems with TPG dial-up such
that I can connect but can't get to anything outside. ie
ping 203.12.160.35 works (the pinging their primary DNS) but
ping 216.239.53.99 doesn't (ie pinging google)
