Yes.  And as I hinted at earlier, /don't/ try running emerge -f on one
console and a normal emerge on t'other, as it is likely to end up
downloading the same source tarball to the same location in two
different processes at once, causing a mess.

(Experiment to try at home for those who are bored and don't run Gentoo:
start a large file downloading with wget, then before it's finished
start another "wget -c" of the same file in the same directory...)
