[plug] Gnome 'File types and programs' behaviour

Hi Plug,
Using Acrobat Reader as the best example ...
... assuming it is installed in the default /usr/local/Acrobat5 and not
in the system path, you then might try and add it to the 'File types and
programs dialog' in Gnome2 to give PDF files some cred.
Upon doing so you enter the full path /usr/local/Acrobat5/bin/acroread
You finish off and what it actually stores is 'acroread' - or basename
{what you entered} - this is of course not in the path and therefore the
entry is useless.
I solve it by adding it to the path or symlinking it or whatever, but
wouldn't it be nice for it to actually do what you asked and allow you
to reference files outside the system path in the 'custom' programs box?
Does anyone else experience this? Am I doing something wrong?
Ryan
