Nowhere near it. #1 problem is their problems with embedded fonts, but 
they also support CMYK colour spaces poorly or not at all, and generally 
just don't behave well with many of the PDFs we get. The staff need to 
be able to preview PDFs as the client will see them on their system, and 
that means Acrobat Reader. They also need to be able to check ads 
supplied as PDF by clients.

Xpdf is all well and good, but it doesn't do the job here.
