I'd rather not, because we're using Linux, it is open source, open
source is primarily maintained using CVS and IMHO the amount of user
level CVS documentation is lacking - getting from "start" to "expert" is
currently a big leap.

I stumbled on an O'Reilly page that suggested a method for:

        Import code snapshots for a project that has seen the release of
        a few versions before CVS comes into play.

Using this method, I created an EVIL HACK, that does just that.
