[plug] transfer some files between NT4 machines and linux

Written for NT4 only, manufacturers warning that machine should not have
MS patches/hotfixes applied as this will likely kill the application,
onerous licence conditions, ... - this Machine is treated as "UNCLEAN". 
The others are a bit easier, but even the linux machine in the group is
"difficult" in this manner - they STILL come from the factory running
RH7.0, cant easily be upgraded (ancient SGI graphics application, may
void warranty and manufacturer can refuse any further support, and have
done so overseas! - VERY expensive) etc.

Instrumentation is a whole different world to what normal sysadmins see,
different constraints and demands.
