In /etc/apt/sources.list duplicate the stable lines, change the word
stable to testing, save the file, apt-get update, apt-get install.

You can also set the default/preferred branch with /etc/apt/apt.conf and
the following line:

	APT::Default-Release "testing";

You can also do an install with apt-get -t testing install bob, to use
testing if you set your default release to stable.
