[plug] [OT] What are USB A-A cables good for?

Where did you get the A-A cables from? I looked everywhere - but couldn't
find any.

Hello,

I got some USB2 A-A cables thinking I could use them as extensions but
it appears not.

So what are they good for? (other than blowing up two machines by
connecting them together)
