Actually, you know, a tab is a pretty good choice for one of the "just 
darn weird" chars in your password. Unfortunately, it suffers from the 
same issue as non-Latin characters and control chars - if you use the 
same password for (say) HTTP auth, input might be ... challenging.

Wouldn't it be nice if every UI had good input methods for misc Unicode, 
and an equivalent of the ^V supported by most shells/terminals that 
didn't involve copy and paste from a special app?
