In practice, the piece of paper on the wall may help you get the
job. To keep it and to do well, your education need only equip you
with one fundamentally-important realization: That you know
bugger-all and no matter how much you know or what degrees and
qualifications you hold, it'll always be bugger-all.

IMHO, the best degrees are Engineering degrees. If the students
don't treat them as an academic achievement, then they enforce and
develop their own problem-solving abilities which will serve them
well for the rest of their lives; whatever they do.
