| Hang on tho', I'm sure Craig has said somewhere else that the pppoe client
| under woody had "issues". Can anyone first confirm if this is so before
| Tim attempts to set bridged mode ?

|
| It's worth a try. If you don't get a ping response, ask again. Or someone
| will correct any blunder I've made :-)
|

I'm not sure if pppoeconf has issues in the woody version, but it has
worked flawlessly for me. My dodgy old Toshiba laptop has been up for
the 30 days since I installed woody, and only telstra have killed the
connection occasionally I think... (freebsd 5.2 was a bit crashy -about
every 2-3 days- on the same hardware, Woody is doing the same gateway
job plus a lot more, so I am happy with Woody's stability..)

This is using one ethernet card, an old Xircom PCMCIA, providing both
the eth0 and ppp0 interfaces quite happily.

And no Harry, you were exactly right as far as I can see... 8^)==

HTH
