Okay, some basic questions:

1) Is the /etc/localtime link set correctly?

2) Could you give us the output of 'date -R' and 'date -uR'
   accompanied by the real time on your watch when you ran the
   commands?

3) I presume that the machine that you're doing this on is the one
   that your mail client is running on?
