[plug] USB scanner up

 Hi,

 To Craig & Bernard
 Installed 'apt-get install hotplug'.
 The Epson 1260 scanner actually works well at least it creates an image.
  A bit of work to do yet before the image is displayed correctly.
 
  scanimage only functions from 'root' at present
  Xsane will not functiont from 'root', when I run xsane it tells me 

     no devices available 

 It is only a matter time now before we at least get the command line structure
 to perform correctly.
 Xsane & or the frontends will come eventually.

 Any comments that will help speed up the process are appreciated.
