I usually just scp my apt source file over.
I have something along the lines of:
deb http://ftp.wa.au.debian.org/debian/ unstable main non-free contrib
deb-src http://ftp.wa.au.debian.org/debian/ unstable main non-free
contrib
deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US unstable/non-US main contrib
non-free
deb-src http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US unstable/non-US main
contrib non-free
Just running apt-setup will append to all the other (very non-waix)
sources already in there. You probably want to delete or backup the
/etc/apt/sources.list file first.
I recommend using the unstable tree as the software in Woody is much
older than that in Knoppix.
If you want to try out kio-apt
Let's your search apt cache through Konqourer and the apt:/ protocol try
adding:
deb http://lpnotfr.free.fr/debian/ ./
deb-src http://lpnotfr.free.fr/debian/ ./
the package is just called kio-apt

It uses Kudzu and hotplug for certain USB devices such as USB lan keys
or USB -> eth adapters.
There is also some weird DHCP and LTSP-like server on there that I
didn't quite understand. Maybe somehow related to cluster Knoppix.

Linux is ready for the desktop like a Boeing F-22 is ready for the
