I don't know actually.  There is an easy way to find out though...

But you might want to check out /etc/modules.conf and put an alias in
for eth1 (alias eth1 e100).  On debian though they use files under
/etc/modutils/ to build the modules.conf file.  So put the alias in
/etc/modutils/aliases
