You can attach the fan to the PSU power instead of running it off the card. This would make your job a lot easier! I have an extra (new) Sunon 40mm fan that would suit (bought it from below-0.com for a project that never got done for $10).

There's also the zalman heat pipe for video cards. That can be seen here, along with other more economical alternatives:

Not a bad option considering how old this card is. Buying a new fanless card might be an idea, too. Considering the age of the card, any new fanless card is likely to outperform it anyway.
