i think it would be great to touch on 

operating systems -- windows is not the only solution

what is an application

backing up  --  the different methods

email different programs are available

browsers different ones are available

selecting the right hardware

selecting the right software -- openoffice

paying more for a support or service -- or basically support vs price
based decisions

what is a domain and the benefits eg: yourname at yourdomain email

ups and surge protection

custom applications vs industry based packed apps

internet research eg: how to use google etc

i dunno i think thats some stuff i generally get asked alot
