Mplayer!
Just use dvbstream to stream directly through Mplayer.

I don't have analogue telly over here, only FTA Satellite. I use a hacked up bash script with all my 
channels, drive that with a StreamZap IR Remote and use Mplayer to stream the show (sometimes via a 
temporary file on the disk to allow me to pause, rewind and skip ads.

Oh yeah, I'm using the mga kernel module with a Matrox G450 with the second head connected to my 
projector so my telly is actually 8 foot diagonal. On FTA Satellite the bit rate is only about 
2.5Mbits so it's pretty blocky but FTA DVB-T should look really great.
