I found the Li-Lian cases to be a good choice in building server cases as they have cases for quite a good range. Be forewarned they are not cheap but they do offer quite a nice range of options. Check them out either at their website or at Anyware in Herdsman.

Subject: [plug] OT server hardware

Good Morning All,

I was wanting to have a talk to anyone who has had experience with the
INWin2000 server cases or Aopen H800 series.

I have had a look at both websites (aopen seems to be a bit better on
specs than the inwin site), however its still not the same as actually
having a case in front of you with all the bits installed.

The main reason I am looking at these cases is that both support dual
power supplies.
The case needs to be able to take a standard atx PIV board (we're not
building _real_ servers here ;), either IDE RAID 1 setup or scsi raid 5
setup (3 scsi drives in 5 drive hotswap bay), cdrom, zip or tape drive,
floppy drive.

Are there any other cases I should look at, can anyone recommend a
distributor for any of these cases (or any others?)

Are there any gotcha's I should be aware of.

Thanks in Advance

Regards,

Adam Davin
