[plug] Samba and XP-SP2

I have the opposite problem just installed XP Pro and SP2. 

The xp box, could not even see itself (in network neighborhood) until
I added IPX/SPX protocol to the network configuration.

I can mount a shared dir from the XP box on a Red Hat box, but cannot
even see the Red Hat in network neighborhood.

We are current using plain text passwords, but I have change the
registry as per the docs, also enabled the xp security policy to send
unencrypted passwords.
