I had an unfortunate event with an ext3 parition and had 54 files that
were corrupted. I am slowly discovering them and fixing them. (The first
ones I needed to fix where hosts and hostname)
I recently ran debsums but am not to sure how well that went. I know
that /usr/share/perl5/Debconf/Config.pm has become corrupt and tried to
reinstall debconf. The output is below. I also tried to update debconf.
It also failed. I have been able to install other applications though
using apt. Can anybody suggest how I can fix this? Is it possible to
extract that file out of the .deb and overwrite the old file?

p.s. Where you see rntfs it is actually part of a binary string that had
unicode chars in it.
