[plug] Samba server weirdness- uploads work, downloads don't

Yup, it was originally 3.0.6-3; upgrading to 3.0.7-1 didn't help it
though :(  I have another Samba server, also running 3.0.6-3, which
seems to work just fine.

Does anyone here know if blasting away the contents of /var/lib/samba
is likely to break (or fix) anything?
