[plug] Samba server weirdness- uploads work, downloads don't

Move the directory to a different location rather than blasting it away 
altogether I reckon.

Also, have you specified anything for "socket options" in smb.conf?  
I've noticed improvements with the suggested setting on one machine, but 
negative results on another machine.  The suggested setting is the 
following if you don't have it already:

socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192
