The whole archive? I hope not. Maybe a week's worth. Remember that
it's a newsgroup server; not an oldsgroup server. :-)

It'd just be a pain for those who connect to the server for the
first time.

IMNSHO; if we don't worry about it for a few days, it won't be an issue.
