I'm getting *very* slow response on some network access.  Occasionally I 
get an immediate response from DHCP when booting.  Most of the time 
there is a delay of over a minute before the assigned address is displayed.

When I try to access nfs mounts, which work perfectly when the MDK 10.0 
disk was installed in the box, I issue the mount command and sit and 
wait forever.  Restarting nfs on the server seems to wake things up. 
The server machine immediately registers the request in 
/var/log/messages:  authenticated mount request from 192.168.1.5 
received.  Eventually the files are visible on 192.168.1.5 and response 
to cp is normal.

/etc/exports on 192.168.1.13
/tmp          192.168.1.0/24(rw,no_root_squash,sync)

/etc/fstab on 192.168.1.5
192.168.1.13:/tmp  /mnt/tmp  nfs noauto,user,ro,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,intr

I later added options soft,retry=2 to try to keep it from hanging with 
no effect.

Internet access appears normal.

Any ideas?
