OK, first, be sure it's a memory issue. If you have some spare RAM, try
removing all your current RAM and putting in the known-good module. If
the system now works, it's probably a RAM problem and you should test
your old memory modules one by one until the system passes a memtest86
run and works OK.
As for replace vs test, it's up to you. Is it worth your time to test
and fix it, or is it more worthwhile for you to spend more but save time
by buying a replacement?
