[plug] compiling ivtv for mythtv problem

I'm trying to follow a  
tutorial(http://www.quietglow.com/docs/ubuntumythtv.html) for getting  
mythtv to work on my ubuntu breezy box and, i've run into an error  
compiling ivtv in it.

When i go "make" from the ivtv source directory, i get the error "make:  
*** /lib/modules/2.6.12-9-386/build: No such file or directory. Stop."

The kernel im using is 2.6.12-9-386

Can someone please help me get it working?
